MISSION
To give un-served, under-served populations in Africa, access to all factors and resources required for them to seamlessly start, profitably run, and sustainably grow small business enterprises, helping them become economically self-reliant and self-sufficient.
MODEL
To deliver entrepreneurship and business set-up/support solutions to the digital doorsteps of people at the Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP), leveraging social media platforms and technology that young people find deeply appealing and easy to deploy.
THE COMMUNITY
Members of Portfolio 9 (Community) share business information, support, advisory services, referrals, and valuable linkages to enable them to overcome their business challenges or lingering start-up struggles; thereby making it easier for them to start (and run) their ‘small’ business enterprises more profitably and sustainably.
This is possible through open discussions, exchange of business ideas and experiences and referrals, leveraging business support opportunities like tailored-made capacity building programs, business-to-business match-making, and innovative soft funding.
