Who are we?
Portfolio 9 (Community) is a Digital Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Platform (DEEP) with a mandate to deliver entrepreneurship to the digital doorsteps of people at the Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP) – underserved and unserved populations in Africa.
Portfolio 9 (Community) has a current membership base of over 600k and focuses on equipping and empowering members to become economically self-sufficient and reliant.
Business Information
We provide our members with valuable business information on existing or future opportunities like specialized training training programs, bankable skills, funding windows (grants, loans) and we help them get access to public and private institutions that support small businesses.
Business Resources
Access to criritcal resources required to start and run small businesses is a major factor and focus on Portfolio 9 (Community). We believe that giving people access to factors of production and entrepreneurship will expose them to best practices and help set them up for success.
Business Linkages
They say it takes an entire community to raise a child, the same applies to an entrepreneur. Hand-holding or mentorship is an integral element of our intervention. We match our members with mentors and nudge them to join Business Member Organizations (BMOs) for support.

We give our members access to all resources they require to seamlessly start, profitably run and sustainably grow small businesses.
SMART Work Spaces
We provide our members digital and physical workspaces for business incubation and other on-demand workspace needs.
Technology and Skills
Our members have access to technology, skills and resources to assist them kick-start careers in any aspect of technology.
Africa’s Largest Digital Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Platform
We are building (and incubating) Africa’s largest community and one-stop-shop for Small Business ideas, resources, skills, indigenous knowledge systems, techniques, technologies, models.

Since its inception, members of Portfolio 9 (Community) have benefited from various empowerment schemes and initiatives, ranging from local and foreign capacity building/training programs to small business loans and grants, to mentorship placements and other value-adding opportunities within the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) ecosystem and sub-sector of the Nigerian economy.
